ECHL - Referee Salary
-$195 per game
-$30 a day in per diem
-$20 a day in per diem on days not working
-$0.20/mile when driving
-First 25 miles subtracted when leaving from home
-Hotels paid for by team or league
-Full-Time ECHL Referee's work 2-4 games a week
AHL - Referee Salary
-AHL/NHL Contracted Referee's make $50,000-60,000 a year
-AHL/NHL Contracted Referee's are considered FULL TIME
-AHL/NHL Contracted Referee's occasionally fill in for the NHL (Similar to our AAA umpires)
-Currently 12 Referee's under contract from AHL with the NHL
-AHL Contracted Referee's make $325/game
-$0.40/mile for driving
-Hotels are paid for (up to $100/night)
-Per Diem break down:
-$14/breakfast -$18/lunch
-$26/dinner
-$58 TOTAL IN PER DIEM
-Non-NHL Contracted Referee's in the AHL work 1-4 games a week
